- However, in 2019, growth was flat at +0.3%, resulting in a total production of 2,782,917 tons.
- Comparatively, the growth rates in the preceding years were 4.8% in 2017 and 1.5% in 2018.
- Turnover:
- The estimated turnover for European nonwovens in 2019 was approximately €9,178 million, reflecting a +0.6% change.

- Based on responses from member companies, the total number of people employed in nonwoven production in Europe decreased by around 1.0% in 2019.
- The estimated current employment figure stands at approximately 28,700 people
