How to make hotel pillows?
Hotel pillows are made to withstand more washes and perform more durably.
There are four factors that make sleeping pillows more durable:
1) The type of fabric cover
2) The sewing process and sewing thread used
3) The type of fiberfill used
4) Packaging
Fabric covers: There are 8-10 qualities available, from an inexpensive polyester-cotton blend to a 320-count tight cotton weave that is close to ticking quality.
For sewing, we use a regular straight stitch machine and for more durability, we use sergers with a safety stitch attachment
Fill—We offer cluster fiber and regular polyester fiberfill. Cluster fibers are small balls of fiber instead of strands. You get a more down-like feel from the pillow. Regular hollow siliconized conjugate fiber, non-recycled, would constitute 65% of our hotel and institutional orders; the cluster fiber goes to the higher-end hotels, bed and breakfasts, and overnight spas.
Hotel pillows are usually packed 20 in a larger bag, specially compressed to fill a shipping carton, and shipped by the case. Retail pack pillows are individually packed in attractive retail bags for display in stores. The retail can be supplied by the customer, or we provide a printed 2 mil polyethylene bag on which we can put the store’s or shop’s private label or logo.
The main work of the fiber pressing unit is to open the polyester staple fiber. They use the best quality of raw material for the processing, imported from VNP POLYFIBER. The specification of fiber processing in our unit is 7D 64 mm, Hollow Conjugated Siliconized (HCS) Polyester Staple Fiber. Some suppliers use virgin HCS to produce the world’s best ball fiber.
The fiber is opened in the shape of balls and filled into the cushions’ and pillows’ shells. These highly bouncy balls make the cushions and pillows extremely comfortable for end users.

The fabric used is from TC 180 to TC 500, where it is mostly white. The flat sheet, or the bed sheet, comes with a couple of pillowcases of the same fabric, which is called the bed sheet set.
